DIAPER RASH
So i decided to talk about diaper/nappy rash, because my son recently had very bad rash.
So up until recently Kairo seemed immune to nappy rash, i still have the tube of Bennetts bum cream from when he was born. I don't really know what actually caused his rash.
I've heard that nappy rash stems from teething, it causes babies to have loose tummy's.
I've also heard its from tummy acid when babies make a poo.
So i did some homework and i found out that what actually causes is
when wet nappy's aren't changed often, new foods, diarrhea and antibiotics.
In Kairo's case he got his first teeth at 8 months (very advanced). His going though another teething stage, he had 8 teeth during his first year. His now 16 months and his getting his canines and molars. So i don't know if its that.
We also changed his brand of nappies, from pampers to Huggies.
But i noticed that its mostly when he has days where he po's a lot in one day.
So about 2 weeks ago Kairo was saying "sore,sore" and point down on my way home
from my mom.
I couldn't understand what he was trying to tell me.
So i rush home and the key to the door to my home broke. What i nightmare by then my son was crying. Eventually when we did get in. I immediately took his nappy off. I then saw that he had made a po and his bum was so raw. It was the worst I've seen it.
I got him into the bath but he was screaming saying "sore sore'. I could barely bath him cause he was in pain. I got him out applied so much bum cream and he screamed while i was doing that as well. I did not put his nappy on same time just kept him in a towel for a bit.
When i did put his nappy on i applied a layer of bum cream to the nappy.
The next morning it was gone thank the Lord.
Unfortunately he still suffers with this but its manageable with bennetts bum cream.
Has anyone experienced something similar? what products are you using?
